China will issue 2012 low-tariff import quotas for sugar, with volume unchanged from this year,according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Commerce .
The ministry said 1.945 million tons of quotas will be issued, of which 70 percent will beallocated to state-owned companies. Importers have to apply for the quotas from the ministrybefore Nov 30 and the quotas will be issued on Jan 1, 2012.
